Origins
Angels of Flight Canada Inc. is a Canadian company established in 1988 in Ontario, Canada to provide critical aeromedical services to hospitals and governments with moving ill and injured persons for further medical treatment and repatriation to their home communities.
Within a month, the team expanded to international flights and continues to grow globally to this day.
The Founder, Gail Courneyea (Payne), a critical care aeromedical Registered Nurse, saw the needs of Canadian hospitals for specially trained nurses to coordinate and provide efficient, safe and comfortable patient care to their patients in an unfamiliar flight environment.
Gail and her team of experienced healthcare and aviation professionals, coordinate with hospitals, families, government agencies and insurance companies, ensuring that the Circle of Care is never broken and you or your loved one’s health and safety is our First and Only priority.
Having travelled the world over, and then over again, you can rest assured that Angels of Flight Canada Inc. team will be with you every step of your journey.

As a fully owned and operated Canadian business since it’s inception in 1988, we have been in the privileged position of watching our community flourish around us. With their support we continue to be able to offer top tier service and as Angels, we know just how important it is to take care of those who take care of us. With that in mind, we strive to do better for those around us – it is one of Angels of Flight Canada’s guiding principles - giving back.

To promote local green business in the Peterborough area, the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce and GreenUP, launched the Green Business Peterborough Program.
The program recognizes businesses that have pledged to and have implemented strategies to reduce waste, save energy and adopt sustainable business practices.
